Lionel Pre-WWII 224E & Tender

No Visible Damage to the boiler

Engine was tested and it run’s well, but the “E” unit

sometimes sticks

Very little running time, mostly kept in a display case

Almost no marks on the pick-ups (due to such minimal

run time)

I believe the Tender is a 1941 Bakelite/Plastic 2224

which has no whistle, however at some time in the past

it was equipped with the 2466W Frame/Body, which

can hold the whistle (Not included)

Plastic body of the tender is in very good condition,

with only some white lettering on one side slightly

washed off.

Take a look at this wonderful Lionel 636W "City of Denver" Train in Beautiful Two Tone Green.

Very Rare, Nice Un-catalog version of City of Denver

1936-37

This version includes only 636 loco 637 coach and 638

observation.

This set came from private collection.

Set was on display for many years.

Motor was tested and lubed and runs great.

Whistle bench tested and sounds good.

There needs to be a connection between whistle and pick ups.

All lights are working.

There is no any damage as far as I can see, except the

one lower corner on the loco is slightly bend (hardly

notisable) and there are couple of spots on the loco with

some minimum of lost paint.

Please study the pictures as they are part of the

description and make up your mind as this is a rare, hard

to find train in such good condition.

This is a very desirable Lionel set in overall very good

condition.
