NOTE: This car is so fast it will probably need some more magnets, it has 2 circular ones right now, and room for 6 more magnets (sold separately), I only mention this because during testing it ran so fast that it flew off a corner into a hedge and cracked the bottom of the pickup. I have professionally repaired the pickup blade using high grade JB Weld (NOT some cheap glue) and it is actually stronger than original, aside from this repair the car is GREAT!!!

1979 Aurora AFX Speedsteer Firebird TA TCR Slot Car NOS (Slot Less)

You are buying One (1) Speedsteer Firebird Trans-Am in HO Scale. It is listed as a tougher #3 in the indispensable Beers Aurora value guide. The #6200 Firebird Trans-Am from 1979-1981 comes with the beautiful white/light blue/black #9 paint scheme. It is a real looker mated to chrome wheels all around.

They can both be made to run Slotted by simply inserting a guide pin in a small notch. They run ‘free-wheelin’ into the corners and perform somewhat like really fast, sliding-through-the-curves, Thunderjets. If you notch in a metal G+ Guide Pin, they should run on just about any HO scale slot car track from Aurora, TOMY, TYCO, Marchon, Atlas etc.

This slot car includes a good magnet and the tires are practically new as the car did not get very much track time (low hours). The front axle works great and the front wheels turn (everything is like new) and the ride is fast and smooth.
